Cole, LA Times Lynda Williams, physics instructor and former go-go dancer, produces and performs science musicals for both scientists and the general public. Her unique mix of science and entertainment has attracted a flurry of media attention from the New York Times, the Herald Tribune, The SF Chronicle, People Magazine, Evening Magazine, Good Morning America, the Osgood File, NPR's West Coast Live, To the Best of our Knowledge, AP Radio News and KPFA's Explorations in Science. According to People Magazine, "Williams puts the fizz back in physics." As The Physics Chanteuse, Williams performs custom cabaret-style shows for academic organizations and corporate clients that are scientifically and technologically sophisticated and tailored to the audience. Past clients include The American Physics Society, The American Astronomical Society, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the American Association of Physics Teachers, IEEE, WISE, ASW-Sweden and Adobe. She also produces shows for the general public and for college audiences in her one-woman science Cabaret - Cosmic Cabaret. All shows include original song, comedy and repartee on science and technology that are witty, political and provocative - in the tradition of cabaret. Williams performs music that ranges in style from pop to jazz to hardrock to rap in front of a multimedia backdrop of hit-tech scientific images and visualizations. United preferred. * Travel to and from airport * Hotel private room * Per diem * rental and setup of equipment responsibility of client All expenses must be paid in advance by the client. The performance fee plus per diem must be paid upon arrival. Written confirmation and %50 deposit of performance fee is usually required to reserve dates. Any cancellations will be paid in full due to time and opportunity costs.
